Job Description
Jacksonville Chapel

Purpose of the Job To serve as leader of the Student ministries, responsible for overseeing a Christ-centered ministry for people 12 to 18 year-old ages. This includes oversight of all student ministries.
Qualifications
Possesses a passion for a relationship with God through frequent time in the Word and prayer.
Has a love for students, and a strong desire to see them grow in their walk with Christ.
Possesses good communication and teaching skills.
Can recruit and equip volunteers and ministry teams in a multi-generational setting.
Possesses solid biblical understanding and agreement with the doctrinal statement of Jacksonville Chapel.
Has the ability to provide leadership and direction for a large ministry in multiple site locations.
Has demonstrated a commitment to teamwork.
Minimum of two years experience working with students.
Undergraduate degree from a recognized college or university is preferred.
Demonstrates creativity as well as maturity.
Supervisor The Pastor of Nxt-Gen Ministries is under the direct supervision of the Executive Pastor.
Major areas of responsibility
Ministry Oversight
Oversee the development and ongoing ministry to middle school and high school students.
Oversee the development and carrying out of trips, retreats and missions projects for students.
Oversee the direction and integration of student ministries with Jacksonville Chapel.
Oversee care ministries within Student ministries including the development and ongoing oversight of small groups/discipleship.
Provide vision, direction and oversight to the Student ministries leadership team (volunteer & staff).
Leadership Development
Encourage and oversee the professional and personal development of student ministry pastors and interns.
Recruit and equip volunteer ministry leaders for middle and high school ministries.
Partner with parents to facilitate the spiritual growth of students.
Provide shepherding and spiritual encouragement to ministry leaders.
Develop a team approach to ministry within each area of responsibility.
Administration
Oversee the budget and financial decisions for the student ministry.
Communicate effectively with the Ministry Assistant of Nxt-Gen ministries on ministry-related issues.
Ensure the child/volunteer protection process is operating within current safety guidelines.
Develop and maintain healthy team relationships with pastors, directors, church staff and ministry leaders through relationship building, attendance at weekly staff meetings and other meetings as necessary.
Provide direction to graphic designer on Nxt-Gen ministry printed materials.
Teaching
Ensure that biblical and relevant teaching is provided throughout student ministries.
Encourage teaching that is "life changing" rather than merely informational.
Provide teacher training as appropriate.
Personal Growth
Maintain a growing relationship with the Lord that includes regular prayer, worship and reading of the Word.
Continue to develop leadership gifts as well as an understanding of student ministry and next generation worship through on-going training, ministry networking and personal development.
Childcare Coordinator - Part-time Paid Position
Jacksonville Chapel is searching for a person to fill the role of part-time paid childcare coordinator. The purpose of this position is to oversee the childcare offered during Thursday morning Women's Ministries and the childcare offered during particular special events for the Chapel. Those special events include but are not limited to the evening performances of the Christmas and/or Easter programs and the annual congregational meeting. Associate Pastor of Nxt-Gen - Full-Time Paid Position
