ADVANCE! - The Men's Ministry of Jacksonville Chapel
On December 21st, a bunch of brave men endured the snow and fought through the weather for a special time with Sam Ingrassia. They heard what the Lord has been revealing to Sam lately, namely a Biblical, easy, guilt free way of praying with your wife and supporting her spiritually.
We are now making the video portion of this talk available online for everyone. We divided the time into 3 videos. Here is video one.
ADVANCE! is the name chosen by the men of Jacksonville Chapel who are striving to “make disciples who make a difference” in their homes, communities and workplaces. From large events to small groups to “man to man” mentoring, ADVANCE! provides a welcome environment to men in all stations of life. From the college-aged young man, to the “experienced” man who may have retired from employment, ADVANCE! seeks to incorporates a variety of outreach events, ongoing small groups, social events and service opportunities to help men of all ages find their God-given gifts and exercise them in a manner to benefit each other, the Church family as a whole, and the world we face each week at work and at home. Examples of “Advance Men” involvement at Jacksonville Chapel include: teacher, small group leader/member, elder board, worship band, Sunday school teacher, youth leader, choir, scout leader, finance advisor, usher and many more.
There are many activities throughout the year including an annual Good Friday outreach breakfast at a local hotel with a nationally known speaker, topical workshops/seminars, small group Bible study, a video Bible Study from Man in the Mirror Ministries, an annual overnight “Base Camp” (formerly known as a retreat), breakfasts, “pig roasts”, father/child events and weekly mentoring.
If you are just “exploring” or if you have been attending churches for many years, ADVANCE! will provide you with resources to meet you where you are in a comfortable atmosphere, and will provide you with opportunities to go beyond the “base camp” and into the front lines of a world that so desperately needs men who are available to God’s direction and command.
