Worship Arts
Worship is giving the place of highest honor or glory to something or someone.
While some people place celebrities, powerful people, money, or even themselves at the center of worship, the Bible tells us that God's desire is that we, His creation, worship only Him. That means that we can worship God at any time or any place--by doing anything that gives Him glory or honor.
When our minds and hearts are focused on pleasing God, we are worshipping.
At Jacksonville Chapel, we join together in corporate worship weekly. We do this because we are instructed to, and to be honest, we love to. We don't get together because we have to. We do it because we want to. We want to join together and give thanks and worship the One who deserves all of the glory.
The worship at the Chapel is expressed in a number of different ways. We pray together, we sing together, we spend time together, we give, and we study the Bible. One of our chief goals is that we provide opportunities for people to use their gifts and talents to worship and lead others in worship.
We call those opportunities "Worship Arts".
In the Worship Arts Ministry, we have numerous teams that work together to promote an atmosphere that people can worship together in. These teams include:
