Children's Ministries: Sunday School

What We Do

Each Sunday morning starting at 9:45 and 11:15, children from 18 months through fifth grade meet in classrooms for about an hour. There are two age divisions -- early childhood (18 months to Pre-K) and elementary (Kindergarten through 5). Through a combination of enjoyment and education, the children draw closer to God and learn how to better interact with their peers.

Mission

To introduce children to Jesus Christ as Lord, personal Savior, and friend and to teach, equip, and encourage them to become more like Him.

Vision

To see children become passionate followers of Jesus who want to:

  • worship God,
  • read His Word,
  • do His work,
  • show love and
  • share Him with others.

    Values

    1. Our ministry starts with PRAYER. We want to model the example Jesus set by talking with God and committing everything we do to the Lord. (Proverbs 16:3)
    2. Our ministry is BIBLICALLY-BASED. We believe that Scripture is the final authority in faith and life, and want kids to love and rely on God's word. (2 Timothy 3:16)
    3. Our ministry is SAFE for kids - spiritually, emotionally, and physically. We strive to eliminate anything that would hinder kids on their spiritual journey. (Matthew 18:6)
    4. Our ministry is CREATIVE. We seek to use the gifts God has given us to teach His truth to kids in ways that are exciting, innovative, and relevant to their lives today. (1 Corinthians 9:22b)
    5. Our ministry is RELATIONAL. We are a church of small groups and believe kids will learn, grow, and develop Godly relationships best in small groups. (Hebrews 10:24)
    6. Our ministry is FUN! We want kids and volunteers to enjoy coming every week so that we can continue to pour into their faith and growth. (Matthew 19:14)

    We strongly believe that grounding children in Jesus Christ leads to changed lives. God is working through all the teachers and assistants who minister through this program to change the lives of kids, their families, and everyone around them for His glory.
