Children's Ministries: Tree Climbers

Purpose

"Where's Dad?"

Well, chances are if he's a Tree Climbers' dad, he's with his son, having fun, getting to know him, helping him learn about Jesus, and not regretting for one moment the missed television show, novel, or other activity.

What We Do

A Tree Climbers' dad joins his 1st or 2nd grade son Thursdays during the school year from 7:15 to 8:45 p.m. The kids play games (Dodgeball always keeps 'em coming back), the fathers and sons work on crafts together, and a Bible-based story is told. And snacks, of course, to finish things off.

The Blessings of Fatherhood

In a country where the average father spends a mere 20 minutes per week with his child, these 90 minutes or so are a real blessing to the boy who will, as a man, later emulate the pattern set for him.

Believe me--once you discover what a joy it is to spend that extra time with your son, those weekly Tree Climbers meetings will spill over into your everyday life. You see, Tree Climbers is not here just to add another ministry to the Chapel. Instead, to goal is to enjoy and appreciate how precious our children are, and we know that joy found in such simple pleasures.

Love and Fun, Hard to Resist

Perhaps you've heard of us. Perhaps one of your young sons interrupted you and said, "Daddy, daddy. Please take me to Tree Climbers!" Because a young friend of his had gone before, he couldn't wait to join in the experience.

How You Can Reach Us

We'd love to have you join us. For more information, you can call Jeff at (973) 697-1586. But most of all, just be the dad your son needs, like our Daddy in heaven is to His children.
