Jacksonville Chapel considers it a privilege and responsibility to passionately do its share to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the whole world.
What We Do
Jacksonville Chapel's Long-Term Missionaries are an exciting part of the Chapel team. We support over 35 missionaries in more than 15 different countries, some of whom minister to unreached people groups. Twenty-three percent of our supported missionaries are in a leadership position (heads of mission agencies, etc.), and 40% are involved in church planting.
Please note: Past and present members of Jacksonville Chapel are given our first consideration in the distribution of support funds. Next are the relatives of Chapel members and then others.
Staying in Touch
Jacksonville Chapel is pleased to be able to offer support in a variety of ways for its missionaries, including prayer, counsel, ministry opportunities, involvement in Chapel programs, and financial assistance. We expect that our supported missionaries will be responsible and accountable to the Missions Committee, and we trust that is their desire. They frequently visit us during their time home on furlough to give us updated, personal, and encouraging news regarding the latest on the mission front.
Committed for the Long Haul
It is very exciting to see many of our own young people grow in faith and opt to go into the mission field as their life-long commitment to ministry. We endeavor to place at least 60% of our missionary budget into overseas ministries, including consideration of gifted nationals in an effort to maximize the use of funds available for foreign missions.
