Rediscovering Jesus. Christianity is not about a list of beliefs, a holy book, or a code of conduct; it is about a person. Can you say that your faith is truly all about Jesus—knowing Him, following in his steps and pouring your life out to continue his mission…or has it become something else? When was the last time Jesus surprised you; disturbed you; stretched you?
From Christmas 2011 through Easter 2012, join us as we journey through the life of Jesus. On Sundays we will preach through the Gospel of Mark. And for four months, you are invited to immerse yourself in the life and teachings of Jesus by reading through all four Gospels—encountering not just your “favorite” passages, but also the ones that force you out of your comfortable theology and life. Are you willing to put aside what you thought you knew about Jesus and let him speak to you directly? The journey begins this Christmas.
In order to journey with us in Redsicovering Jesus, we are asking that everyone who calls Jacksonville Chapel their home, to read along with us through the Gospels. It's pretty simple, just read one chapter a day, every business day, and you will have read through all four Gospels by Easter. We have provided a reading plan you can check off right here
